Overview

Weld metal parts together to fabricate or repair product by performing the following duties

Responsibilities

Weld metal parts together using mig, and/or stick welding or any combination using both arc welding processes to fabricate or repair headers or header subassemblies.
Ability to understand and interpret drawings, weld symbols and weld procedures
Ability to operate pneumatic or electric grinders
Removes metal with carbon arc gouging equipment and/or plasma gouging equipment
Repair broken or cracked parts and fills holes.
Maintains production record of parts and jobs fabricated as required by the Department Manager.
Position pieces with overhead or jib cranes.
Regular attendance, ability to arrive at work punctually, ability to work on–site, ability to work overtime.
Ability to work cooperatively with others, ability to deal respectfully with the public, customers, vendors, other employees, managers, and executive management.
Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ability to interchange with others in the department.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Must pass American Society of Mechanical Engineering 1g Saw Plate Test
