Production Planner
Summary: Manages production schedule by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Plan and manages production schedules to ensure 100% on-time delivery of all customer orders.
- Responsible for the analysis of sales order releases with respect to capacity planning and material requirements.
- Interface with manufacturing personnel, purchasing personnel, etc. on material status and production planning issues.
- Expediting and prioritizing job orders with Project Managers.
- Coordinating and managing weekly production schedule meetings.
- Regular attendance, ability to arrive at work punctually, and the ability to work on–site.
- Ability to work cooperatively with others, ability to deal respectfully with the public, customers, vendors, other employees, managers, and executive management.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ability to interchange with others in the department.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

COMPUTER SKILLS
Personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Excellent communication skills (oral and written), ability to work well with others, self-motivated, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
