Job Description
Overview
Assembles machine, equipment, and subassemblies according to customer specifications by performing the following duties.
Responsibilities
- Assembles machines, equipment, and their subassemblies according to customers’ needs following drawings and other written and verbal specifications; plans assembly procedures, following specifications and using knowledge gained by experience
- Drills, taps, or reams holes, aligns components, and bolts, screws, or rivets them together using hand tools or portable power tools; installs moving parts, such as shafts, levers, fan blades, bearings, and work them to test free movement; bends and installs pipe for lubricating systems
- Aligns and meshes gears in gearbox to assemble system of gears including drive motors and fan shafts alignment.
- Operates tube-rolling equipment for Bundle focused Assembler Class A employees. Has expansion calculations and tool selection provided
- Conducts soap, air testing, hydro testing or assists in testing operation of completed product for Bundle Assembly Class A Employees.
- Positions parts manually or by use of overhead cranes or other lifting equipment as appropriate
- Prepare tubes or fintubes for weld tube-to-tube sheet with steam cleaner and/or manual cleaning method.
- Can prepare bundle assemblies for either, final assembly, or shipment per applicable drawings. Includes draining and drying
- Performs oil flushing per applicable drawings and procedures for Cimarron Bundle Assembly Class A Employees. Includes operator serviceable maintenance, connection, and disconnection and oil recovery; performs plenum assembly per applicable drawings
- Performs final assembly joining bundle assemblies with plenum and drive assemblies per applicable drawings
- Prepares and performs performance run-in of assembled unit for Final Assembly Class A Employees. Trouble shoots noise and vibration
- Prepares final assemblies for shipment, or storage per applicable drawings
- Trains, or assists in the training of other employees in assembly processes
- Regular attendance, ability to arrive at work punctually, ability to work on–site, ability to work overtime
- Implement and maintain 5S (workplace organization method in the area with good housekeeping manner).
- Responsible with hand-tools, power-tools and/or equipment in the area on daily basis to ensure cleanliness and functionality at all time.
- Ability to work cooperatively with others, ability to deal respectfully with the public, customers, vendors, other employees, managers, and executive management
- Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ability to interchange with others in the department
Qualifications
- Two years of prior assembly related experience.
